Our devoted office team is always just a phone call away, prepared to offer support and address any questions you may have. We take pride in cultivating meaningful relationships with our clients and their families, while also collaborating closely with a range of health professionals to ensure seamless coordination and the highest standards of care.
You can count on us for compassionate service, timely updates, and steadfast support throughout your care journey. With an unwavering commitment to putting our clients first, we provide peace of mind and exceptional, high-quality care at every step.

Our Committed Carers
At the heart of our service is a team of people who didn’t just choose care—they were drawn to it because they care deeply. Many have supported loved ones of their own and bring that same empathy into every home they visit. We don’t just look for qualifications—we look for heart. Because in this work, kindness, patience, and trust matter just as much as skill.
Everyone on our team is here for a reason. They’ve shown—through their actions—that they’re willing to go the extra mile: offering a steady hand, listening without rushing, and treating those they care for with the same respect they’d offer their own family. This isn’t just a job for them. It’s something they believe in.
We know how hard it is to trust someone with the care of someone you love. That’s why we take every possible step to make sure those who represent us are not only trained and capable, but also genuinely compassionate. Every carer is carefully selected, thoroughly vetted, and continuously supported with hands-on supervision and training.
When you welcome one of our team into your home, you’re getting more than just care—you’re getting someone who understands what it means to feel safe, valued, and supported.
Our comprehensive vetting process includes:
Skills Verification | Professional Reference Checks | Mandatory Training | Criminal Record Checks | Competences | Work Aptitude | Employment Eligibility | Employment History | Personal Reference Checks | Face to Face Interview | Education History | Care Experience
Maria Everton
Registered Manager
Maria brings a depth of clinical and leadership experience that is rare to find in community care. With over a decade working across the NHS in Wales — including several years as a Community (District) Nurse managing complex caseloads in Neath and Swansea — she has led care in people’s homes, supervised junior nurses, coordinated multidisciplinary input, and made the kinds of high-stakes decisions that keep people safe and out of hospital. That background gives her an instinctive understanding of risk, governance, safeguarding and quality — the very foundations of a strong domiciliary care service.
Her career spans acute hospital work, A&E, surgical and medical wards, wound clinics, and community practice, as well as her role as a Home Care Nurse where she trained patients in administering biological medication. This combination of clinical breadth and community-focused care means she is comfortable managing complexity, supporting staff in specialist areas, and maintaining clear oversight of care plans, medication safety, and continuity of support. She has also routinely led assessments, coordinated care reviews, overseen clinical documentation, and contributed to decision-making across a range of NHS teams — experience that translates directly into her responsibilities as Registered Manager.
Maria’s leadership style is steady, fair, and reassuring. Staff appreciate that she brings both clinical authority and approachability: she can guide a new carer through safe practice just as confidently as she can advise a GP, district nurse, or social worker on a complex need. Her background in law adds an extra layer of strength in record-keeping, regulatory understanding, and the careful, accountable decision-making expected by CIW and local authorities.
Rooted in South Wales and deeply familiar with the local health and social care landscape, Maria builds natural trust with families and professionals alike. She is the kind of manager who knows how to run a safe service because she understands every layer of what happens behind the scenes — from risk and safeguarding to real-world pressures in people’s homes.
With her senior clinical grounding, multidisciplinary leadership, strong governance capability, and warm, people-first approach, Maria provides exactly the kind of confident and capable management that families, commissioners, and staff can rely on.

Jatin K.
Responsible Individual
Jatin’s journey into care began with supporting his own family through illness and end-of-life moments, giving him a deep understanding of what families need—clarity, consistency, and someone who genuinely takes responsibility. Growing up in a joint household where elders were deeply respected, he learned early on that good care is built on patience, dignity, and being present when it matters most. These experiences shaped his understanding of what families really go through when a loved one needs support.
Alongside this personal grounding, Jatin brings over 25 years of experience in operations, compliance, quality oversight, and people and systems management. This background allows him to build a calm, organised, and dependable service where families never have to worry about confusion, delays, or gaps in communication. His focus at Kumra Care is simple: to create a service that families can rely on without stress or uncertainty. He believes that clients should feel safe, informed, and listened to at every stage. His role is to make sure the systems behind the scenes are strong, so carers can give their full attention to the people they support.
Jatin is hands-on, accessible, and strongly committed to transparency. He focuses on making care consistent, safe, and human—removing unnecessary complexity and ensuring that every visit is delivered with dignity and respect. Families often say they appreciate how clearly things are explained and how smoothly everything runs.
Jatin is driven by a simple belief: care works best when it combines empathy with proper oversight. By putting structure and accountability in place, he ensures that clients receive reliable support every day—and that families always know who is responsible for keeping their loved ones safe.
Kay Todd
Deputy Manager
Kay brings over eleven years of real, hands-on nursing experience across hospitals, surgical wards, community settings and local care homes throughout South Wales. Her career has been built on looking after people at their most vulnerable—supporting stroke recovery, managing complex wounds, responding to deteriorating patients, and guiding families through difficult moments with calm, steady reassurance. She is someone who has seen just about everything that comes through a busy ward, and she brings that same grounded confidence to the homes she supports at Kumra Care.
Having lived and worked in the region for many years, Kay understands the local community, the challenges families face, and the way health and home life overlap. She has worked closely with Welsh MDTs—GPs, district nurses, therapists and hospital teams—and knows how to ensure individuals receive joined-up, well-coordinated care. Families often say they feel immediately at ease with her, because she speaks plainly, listens properly and never makes anyone feel rushed or overlooked.
Kay’s experience spans medication management, infection prevention, complex dressings, catheter care, post-op monitoring, syringe drivers, IV therapies, sepsis recognition and day-to-day clinical judgement—the kind of practical skill set that gives families confidence and strengthens the whole care team. She has also led shifts, supported junior staff, managed challenging situations, and taken charge in environments where decisions need to be made quickly and safely.
In her role as Deputy Manager, Kay uses this depth of clinical experience to assess new clients, shape safe and personal care plans, mentor carers, and make sure our service remains consistent, responsive and fully compliant. She is someone who notices small changes early, acts promptly, and always puts the individual at the centre of decisions.
What people appreciate most about Kay is her mix of professionalism and warmth. She brings the clinical competence of a seasoned nurse, the steadiness of someone who has cared for many different people over the years, and the humanity of a local person who genuinely wants others to feel safe and supported in their own homes.
Kay doesn’t just deliver care—she brings reassurance. And that makes her an invaluable part of the Kumra Care team for families, carers and commissioning partners alike.

Our Values
Appreciation
Have an Attitude of Gratitude
We count on you to notice the good around you— whether it’s a small win, a kind gesture, or the effort someone puts in. A simple “thank you” can brighten someone’s day and create the kind of workplace where people feel valued and respected. And above all, be kind— because kindness makes everything better.
Beyond Expectation
Find The Way
We ask you to go beyond “just enough” and look for ways to make things better. If there’s a problem, be part of the solution. If there’s an obstacle, find a way around it. Great service comes from a mindset of making things happen, not just getting things done.
Attitude
Be Phenomenal
We count on you to bring the right energy to every task, every challenge, and every interaction. A great attitude isn’t just about staying positive— it’s about being proactive, finding solutions, and always striving to do better.
Culture of Discipline
Disciplined People, Disciplined Thought, Disciplined Action
We need you to show up with focus and follow through on what needs to be done. It’s not about working harder— it’s about working smarter, staying organised, and making sure every action moves us forward in the right way.
Integrity
Walk the Walk
Doing what’s right isn’t just about following rules— it’s about being honest, reliable, and keeping your word. We ask you to be someone others can trust, take responsibility when things go wrong, and always act in a way that reflects who we are as a company.
Inclusiveness
Celebrate and Empower
We need you to make sure everyone —colleagues and clients alike— feels seen, heard, and valued. Respect differences, listen with an open mind, and support each other. Being inclusive isn’t just about fairness— it’s about kindness, too. A strong team isn’t just about working together— it’s about lifting each other up.
